A Note From Your Lead Trainer:
It wasn't until I did my first yoga certification program that I learned of the traditional connection between astrology and yoga. It was still later, after subsequent yoga teacher trainings, that I learned there are spaces and places to take yoga training much deeper, into studies of Sanskrit texts, practices that have been used for thousands of years, and the true study of what actually occurs in the body-mind when yoga is practiced consistently over time.
I found that through teacher trainings, I knew how to teach an engaging and technically proficient yoga class, but I was craving an even deeper study. Through seeking out trainings in both formal institutions and from individual teachers, I continued to build my knowledge base and began to ask the question: where is the academically accurate yoga teacher training program that empowers the students in both their own practices and in their teaching?
Through the last 15 years of actively seeking, studying, and teaching yoga, I put together training modules (from myself and from excellent collaborators) that I believe will equip any seeker who has interest in the yogic approach to understanding consciousness on a personal or universal level.
This program is intentionally designed to:
- Inspire deeper learning and practice in your own life
- Dive into yoga sister sciences to holistically approach yoga as a study of consciousness on the physical, energetic, and etherial planes
- Provide feedback and professional development for designing and teaching excellent classes without burnout
- Forge meaningful connections with classmates, instructors, and collaborators
- Support professional growth in terms of managing the auxiliary business skills needed to teach yoga full or part time
- Provide a way to advance your yoga studies in a way that fits into your schedule and can be accessed online
It's my sincere wish that every person who enters this program comes out enriched on many levels. If you think this might be for you, I invite you to peruse this page and consider applying to join this teacher training.

FAQs and Technical Details:
Q: I am interested in taking the training program, but I am unsure what the differences between 200 and 300 hour trainings are.
A: A 200 hour training is the initial certificate to be a certified yoga teacher. This is a 300 hour training, which advances that credential and allows certain accreditation advancements, such as being able to offer continuing ed. To count this program toward your yoga credential, you must already have a 200 hour program at the time of earning your certificate.
Q: I want to take the trainings! But I'm not yoga certified and don't want to be.
A: You are welcome to take modules or join the Teachers-and-Teachers-In-Training group without working toward the certification. Most of us study this stuff simply because we love it!
Q: How long does it typically take to finish the 300 hour program?
A: Most students will be able to complete the training program within two years. If you prefer to work through more slowly, the certificate program should be completed within three years.
Q: I worked with you previously in the Two Birds Yoga Teacher Training or through another school. Is this the same as that?
A: Yes and no. This is the same as the previously-called Two Birds Yoga Teacher Training program. This yoga training program is co-run by Libby Baily-Cox (an excellent yoga teacher and somatic practitioner) and Emily Ridout (founder of the International School of AstroYoga). If you previously took trainings with Libby or any of her collaborators, they continue to count here.
